Get Your Life Back With Hearing Aids

Think about everyday technology. Not so long ago, we only used cell phones to make calls. Today, they perform futuristic capabilities that most of us can’t imagine doing without.

The same rapid advancement holds true for hearing aid devices. For many, when you hear the term ‘hearing aid’ you immediately conjure up a large, visible device that would not only be impossible to hide but uncomfortable to wear.

Times have drastically changed.

Today’s hearing aid technology includes devices so small they are undetectable. There are even hearing aids that you can wear 24-hours a day, 7 days a week for months at a time – even when showering. And about that smartphone? There are now hearing aid models that can communicate with your hearing devices so that you can control its volume and intensity from your touchscreen, without ever touching your ear.

The first step to discovering these latest advances is being evaluated by one of our expert audiologists in The Listening Center. Once you are deemed a good candidate for a hearing device, we will work with you to determine your best option. As with many products, the more advanced the technology, the more the hearing aid will cost. But that’s why it’s so important to us in The Listening Center that we take the time to get to know you and your needs. We will never recommend a device that exceeds your budget or your level of need. Our goal is to find the device with the exact level of technology you need – no more, no less.

There are four general levels of hearing aid technology that we refer to in The Listening Center at Georgia Ear, Nose, & Throat Specialists and they are:

Premium: for the energetic listener who is in numerous demanding listening situations such as restaurants, large social gatherings, concerts/ theater, outdoor activities or actively working and desires the best technology manufacturers currently have to offer.

Advanced: for the active listener who is in listening situations with moderate levels of background noise such as restaurants, business or social meetings, golf or other outdoor activities.

Standard: for the listener who is in minimal levels of background noise throughout the day such as activities at home, watching TV, card games, and casual conversations.

Essential: for the listener who is primarily in quiet environments and wants an affordable yet effective solution to enhance daily communications.
